Site Foreman – Various Sydney Locations

The Company

Austral Build needs a forward-thinking and experienced Foreman for a variety of luxury residential projects across Sydney. We’re Sydney-based boutique builders with a passion for challenging, luxury projects. We are in a growth phase and have a suite of upcoming work.

The Role

As Site Foreman, you will be expected to hit the ground running and take ownership of site safety management. Run construction programs, on-site budget and business processes relating to labour, overtime, small tools and hire equipment.

Manage the day-to-day site activity in accordance with the construction programme and set methodology for the project. Manage the day-to-day activity of subcontractors in their obligations to meet a high level of quality workmanship and project timelines. Ensure a high level of communication and teamwork through direct communications, on-site meetings and reporting.

Requirements

• Experienced Foreman/General Foreman.
• Relevant trade or building background – Carpentry.
• Strong and articulate communications skills and ability to manage both client and internal communications.
• Technology competent is a must and has to use computers to regularly maintain a computer-based site diary and timesheets along with emailing and reading plans and documents from a computer.
• Must have a proven ability to read specifications, architectural and structural plans, set out buildings, and a very good eye for detail.
• Understands RFI’s, ITP’s, EOT,s, Variations etc.
• A good understanding of Australian standards.
• Be willing to physically work on-site as required
